First Stage...

We all had our first lesson on Prague on 26th November, during this lesson we all had to do 'A Self Perception Inventory' Test  from Doctor Meredith Belbin. We had seven questions which we had to complete to find out if we were an Implementor, Co-ordinator, Shaper, Plant, Resource Investigator, Monitor Evaluator, Team Worker and Completer Finisher. I found out that i scored the highest on Implementor which means conservative, dutiful, predictable, organising ability, practical common-sense, hard working and self discipline. This helped us to be put into teams, and i am on the Transport team and working with Kristy.

Responsibility to- The group and the tutors
Working with- Kristy
Duties and Responsibilities-  Arrange bookings and transfers in the UK and Prague, check everyone in, leading departure date, arrange meeting points, decide to have baggage or not.


The first thing which we had to do as part of being on the transport team was to find out the cost of flights to Prague, for the dates which we wanted to go. Everyone was set a task depending on which group they were in the groups were Fundraising, Accommodation, Attractions and entertainment and Admin and communications and health and safety co-ordinators.

Introduction...

Heyya my names Megan :D I’m 17 years old, I live in Essex! I’m a very short person (Which isn’t good) I love going out with my friends and love to have a laugh!! So now for the boring stuff! I’m currently studying Travel & Tourism at Colchester Institute, I want to go university after but not to sure!! I really want to take part in Camp America and go travelling! Don’t mind where!!

The main reason which I'm writing this blog is because as part of my assignment for Travel & Tourism we have to organise and plan an overseas trip. Part of this was to present our own destination and then as a group we would vote to choose which destination appealed to us the most. We eliminated it down to two these were Rome and Prague! We then had to choose which ones were the best and Prague won the vote which means that we shall be going to Prague next May as our overseas Trip :D

I will be posting my findings and keeping everyone up to date, with what has been happening whilst planning this trip.
